Went to this Peruvian Restaurant for a classic Peruvian dish and they did not disappoint! I was greeted at the door and was told to sit anywhere in their spacious dining room. The Service was real fast and waitress was quick to bring out some corn they serve as a nibble. Once we ordered the food, i went with the Lomo Saltado, it was real quick to come out. The Caufas are only a weekend app but they were good and quickly brought out also. The inside of the restaurant was very well decorated as an under the sea theme and for mother's day weekend, they also had many signs up for that! I really enjoyed this place and would go back to try many of their other option on the menu. Price was also real affordable for such a nice restaurant!

Most authentic Peruvian restaurant in NJ. I've been to my fair share of Peruvian restaurants and I always come back here for the excellent Peruvian food and highly attentive service. The food is on another level, from the ceviche to the tallarines verdes (green spaghetti), it's ridiculously good. One of Hudson county gems. They're fresh juices are also really good. Final rating: 20/10!

Ceviche existed long before July 20, 1969. No Neil Armstrong did not discover Ceviche. It originated some 2000 years ago. The jury is still out as to who invented Ceviche. It could have been the Ecuadorians, but the smart bet is on the Peruvians. Today we have two schools of Ceviche, similar but different, one the Peruvian style, the other, the equally fantastic, the Ecuadorian style. I like them both. Whoever first cured raw fish, with citrus juice, ají, chili peppers, julienned red onions, salt, and coriander, was a genius. On that day when Ceviche was first made, perhaps it was merely a small step by a doting Grandma eager to please her hungry grandchildren, but humankind took a giant leap forward. Where can we get the best Ceviche ? Ceviche is made from Pacific Ocean fish. Hence probably we in NY/NJ don't get the real authentic flavor. But in our area the most respected Peruvian place that specializes in fresh seafood, has high traffic, hence a lot of turnover, is Locura Marina @ 6317 Bergenline Ave, West New York, NJ. When I go there, I get Mixed Ceviche, and a Cold Mussel Appetizer ("Choros a La Chalaca"). There are too many things here that they get it right. Fans of fried seafood should try their fried seafood platter; this joint takes fried seafood to another level. As much as I like Ceviche and Leche de Tigre (spicy left-over juice of Ceviche, served in a glass), I can go to Locura Marina just for their Mussels.

First time here, im visiting from California. My first stops are the Peruvian restaurants, we ordered 8 different plates. We enjoyed our food, some could have been better. The atmosphere was relaxing hardly any people around 4pm on a Friday evening. The first lady that took our order was very sweet she was the young one, at the end of our lovely evening an elder lady came to offer us cater out plates, we need about 6 plates we had order severals meals and she insisted on giving us the plates she wanted , she ended up going back to the kitchen twice since obviously 4 plates was not what we asked for , Lucia espero que al siguiente cliente le trates mejor que el comportamiento que nos mostrasteis .
